THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CARROLL COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS...
  MADISON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS...

* UNTIL 130 AM CDT TUESDAY

* AT 717 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA. 
  3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS ALREADY OCCURRED WITH AN ADDITIONAL  
  2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. 

  MAJOR FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING ACROSS A PORTION OF THE WARNED 
  AREA. A PORTION OF HIGHWAY 62 IN CARROLL COUNTY HAS COLLAPSED AS A 
  RESULT OF THE FLOODING. THE HEAVY RAIN HAS ALSO CAUSED THE POOL    
  ELEVATION AT BEAVER LAKE IN NORTHWESTERN CARROLL COUNTY TO         
  CONTINUE TO RISE...RESULTING IN THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL RELEASES.
  THIS WILL LEAD TO FAST RISES ALONG THE WHITE RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF   
  THE DAM...AND THE POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL FLOODING...ESPECIALLY   
  NEAR THE TOWN OF BEAVER. 

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT COULD EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  BERRYVILLE...EUREKA SPRINGS...HUNTSVILLE...AURORA...BEAVER...
  BOSTON...CARROLLTON...CLIFTY...FORUM...GRANDVIEW...GREEN FOREST...
  HINDSVILLE...JAPTON...KINGSTON...MARBLE...OAK GROVE...OSAGE...
  PETTIGREW...RUDD...RULE...SAINT PAUL...URBANETTE...WESLEY AND
  WITTER.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD TO

MOST SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND PICKUPS. TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE TO
REACH YOUR DESTINATION OR WAIT UNTIL THE WATER RECEDES. REMEMBER...
MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. DO
NOT ENTER THE WATER. TURN AROUND AND MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO
ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN
WATER BEGINS RISING.
