NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK

AREAS AFFECTED...N-CNTRL THROUGH NERN KS INTO EXTREME SRN NEB

CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH LIKELY

VALID 242203Z - 242300Z

SUPERCELL STORMS WILL CONTINUE DEVELOPING NORTHWARD INTO NRN KS NEXT
FEW HOUR. ACTIVITY MAY EVENTUALLY SPREAD INTO EXTREME SRN NEB.
TORNADOES AND LARGE HAIL WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREATS.

EARLY THIS EVENING A LINE OF DISCRETE SUPERCELLS ARE LIFTING NWD
THROUGH CNTRL AND S-CNTRL KS. SOME OF THE STORMS ARE APPROACHING THE
NRN EDGE OF WW 360. A FRONT EXTENDS FROM NERN KS WWD THROUGH N-CNTRL
KS. BOUNDARY LAYER IS COOLER...AND INSTABILITY GRADUALLY DECREASES
WITH NWD EXTENT AWAY FROM THE FRONT...BUT THE THERMODYNAMIC
ENVIRONMENT IS SUFFICIENT FOR SURFACE BASED STORMS. LARGE 0-1 KM
HODOGRAPHS WILL REMAIN VERY FAVORABLE FOR LOW LEVEL MESOCYCLONES AND
TORNADOES AS THE LLJ INCREASES THIS EVENING.
