THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST...NORTH CENTRAL
AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...AS WELL AS EXTREME EASTERN KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

ONGOING THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN MISSOURI WILL PERSIST THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE MOST INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
TO BUILD SOUTHWEST TOWARD THE SAINT JOSEPH...ATCHISON AND EFFINGHAM
AREAS DURING THE AFTERNOON...WITH HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WINDS THE
PRIMARY THREATS.  THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TRACKING EASTWARD ALONG
THE IOWA STATE LINE...WILL DIMINISH IN INTENSITY AS THEY MOVE INTO
A MORE STABLE AIRMASS...BUT STILL WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
HEAVY RAINFALL. THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN MISSOURI AND NORTHEAST
KANSAS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH BY EARLY EVENING...WITH A LULL IN
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY EXPECTED DURING THE MID- TO LATE EVENING HOURS.

AFTER MIDNIGHT...AREAS FROM ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM MOUND
CITY MISSOURI TO CARROLLTON TO BOONVILLE COULD SEE MORE THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY AS ANOTHER COMPLEX OF STORMS FROM IOWA DROPS SOUTHEAST
THROUGH MISSOURI. THERE WILL BE A THREAT OF SOME SEVERE WEATHER WITH
THESE STORMS...MAINLY IN THE FORM OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.
HOWEVER...GIVEN RECENT RAINFALL TOTALS ACROSS NORTHERN
MISSOURI...THERE WILL BE AN ENHANCED RISK OF FLOODING FROM ANY OF THE
STORMS THAT MAY MOVE THROUGH OVERNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

THREAT FOR MORE ORGANIZED THUNDERSTORMS...INCLUDING THE POSSIBILITY
OF SEVERE WEATHER...WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND
NIGHT. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING THUNDERSTORM WINDS...AND FLASH FLOODING
WILL BE THE MAIN THREATS FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE REQUIRED THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING
