.PUBLIC UPDATE...ELEVATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORM CONTINUE TO
INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY ALONG THE CRP/EWX BORDER THIS
MORNING. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND
SMALL HAIL WITH THIS ACTIVITY...FROM NORTHERN BEE COUNTY TO NORTHERN
VICTORIA COUNTY. MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY WILL LIFT NORTHEAST DURING
THE NEXT FEW HOURS WITH FIRST UPR LVL SHORTWAVE. NEXT WAVE WILL
APPROACH LATER THIS EVENING ALONG WITH NOSE OF UPR LVL JET.
INCREASING LARGE SCALE ASCENT WILL CONTINUE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
TONIGHT. STEEPENING 700-500MB LAPSE RATES FROM 00Z-06Z WILL ALSO
CONTINUE THREAT FOR THUNDER AND SMALL HAIL. CURRENT POPS FOR
REMAINDER OF MORNING AND AFTERNOON LOOK SUFFICIENT. NOT MUCH DIURNAL
RANGE IN TEMPS TODAY WITH CLOUD COVER AND CONTINUE COLD AIR
ADVECTION. HIGHS WILL BE SOME 20 DEGREES BELOW CLIMO. MARINE...SCA
FOR ALL ZONES. HAVE BUMPED SEAS UP BASED UPON TRENDS.
