THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BECOME FAIRLY NUMEROUS ALONG/IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS OF NEW MEXICO DURING THE PAST FEW HOURS. THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO DESTABILIZATION ASSOCIATED WITH SURFACE HEATING...AND LEADING EDGE OF MID-LEVEL COOLING ACCOMPANYING UPSTREAM SHORT WAVE TROUGH AXIS. A GRADUAL EASTWARD PROGRESSION OF MID/UPPER FORCING WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MID AFTERNOON...TOWARD LOW-LEVEL THERMAL RIDGE AXIS VICINITY OF THE TEXAS/NEW MEXICO BORDER.
