NORTHERN STANLY COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA SOUTHWEST RANDOLPH COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA * UNTIL 1130 PM EDT * AT 835 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHWESTERN RANDOLPH AND NORTHERN STANLY COUNTIES. RADAR ESTIMATES SHOW RAINFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF 3.5 INCHES PER HOUR OVER RICHFIELD IN NORTHERN STANLY COUNTY... AND OVER MARTHA IN SOUTHWEST RANDOLPH COUNTY. RADAR INDICATED THAT 2 TO 2.5 INCHES HAD ALREADY OCCURRED SINCE 800 PM. ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING. STATE ROAD 49 AND US 52 WILL BE IMPACTED BY POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING.
