THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   NORTHERN AND WESTERN ARKANSAS                           
   SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA                           

EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON FROM 1100 AM UNTIL 400
PM CST.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 85 STATUTE MILES
EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES EAST OF DURANT OKLAHOMA TO 50
MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF WALNUT RIDGE ARKANSAS.

REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.

AND INTENSITY THROUGH THE MID/LATE AFTERNOON ACROSS THIS REGION. 
ACTIVITY WILL REMAIN ELEVATED INTIALLY...BUT MAY BECOME MORE
SURFACE-BASED LATER THIS AFTERNOON.  SUPERCELLS ARE
LIKELY...HOWEVER LARGE HAIL IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN PRIMARY SEVERE
THREAT.
