THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

* UNTIL 245 AM CST

* AT 200 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM 
  SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A TORNADO 6 MILES NORTH OF GOLDEN 
  CITY. THE PARENT THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF...
  DADE COUNTY.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION A 
TORNADO HAS BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS STORM NEAR LAMAR. PERSONS IN 
SYLVANIA SHOULD BE IN A SAFE SHELTER NOW VERY LARGE HAIL CAN ALSO 
BE EXPECTED TO PRECEDE THE TORNADO.

THE TOWNS OF SYLVANIA...CEDARVILLE...NEOLA AND ARCOLA ARE ALSO IN THE
PATH OF THIS TORNADIC STORM.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
