THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT

* AT 824 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA. THE AIRPORT 
AT FAYETTEVILLE MEASURED JUST OVER AN INCH OF RAIN BETWEEN 755 PM 
AND 815 PM.

* THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUOUSLY REDEVELOPING OVER THE WARNED AREA...
  RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL. RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND
  FOUR INCHES MAY OCCUR ACROSS CUMBERLAND COUNTY BETWEEN 830 AND
  10 PM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. MOTORISTS NEED TO AVOID STREETS 
AND INTERSECTIONS KNOWN TO FLOOD DURING HEAVY RAIN EVENTS.
