THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS EXTENDED
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR   

  BANDERA COUNTY 

* UNTIL 745 PM CDT

* AT 539 PM...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BETWEEN BANDERA AND MEDINA  
WERE YIELDING RAINFALL RATES OF 1.5 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR.  THESE 
RAINS ON TOP OF EARLIER PRECIPITATION WILL RUN OFF QUICKLY AND 
CONTINUE THE THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING. 

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS WHEN APPROACHING LOW WATER 
CROSSINGS.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER 
COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR 
CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE 
ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
