THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  BLANCO
  KENDALL
  BEXAR

* UNTIL 500 PM CDT

* AT 220 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN
  TRAINING ACROSS BEXAR COUNTY INTO COMAL...KENDALL AND 
  BLANCO COUNTIES.  

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD TO THE 
SOUTH AND MOVE ACROSS BEXAR...KENDALL AND BLANCO COUNTIES FOR THE 
NEXT COUPLE HOURS.  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES CAN BE 
EXPECTED IN SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.  CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RISE 
RAPIDLY.  

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO 
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR OTHER LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON 
FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
