THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
  TRAVIS
  HAYS
  CALDWELL
  GUADALUPE

* UNTIL 300 PM CDT

* AT 1209 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS      
  THUNDERSTORMS MOVING NORTH AT 25 MPH ACROSS TRAVIS...HAYS...       
  CALDWELL AND GUADALUPE COUNTIES. RAINFALL RATES UP TO 2 INCHES PER 
  HOUR ARE ESTIMATED BY RADAR. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE          
  DEVELOPING SOUTH OF THESE COUNTIES AND WILL MOVE NORTH ACROSS THE 
  WARNED AREA THROUGH AT LEAST 1 PM. 

LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES OVER THIS ALREADY 
SATURATED AREA WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS... 
HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. MANY CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY 
RUNNING AT NEAR CAPACITY AND WILL QUICKLY FLOW OUT OF BANKS WITH THE 
ADDED RAINFALL.  

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS 
IMMINENT. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ACROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR OTHER 
LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING 
STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP 
TO HIGHER GROUND.
