THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN HALIFAX COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 600 AM EDT

* AT 402 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING TO MOVE 
ACROSS WESTERN HALIFAX COUNTY.

RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE OVER THREE INCHES HAVE FALLEN OVER THE AREA 
DURING THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS. ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE.

LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORT FLOODING OF SOME ROADS IN THE 
WESTERN PART OF THE COUNTY.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RISE RAPIDLY...POSSIBLY COVERING SOME  
ROADS WHICH MAY BE CLOSED.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND F-LASH FLOODS.
