THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DURHAM COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA
  ORANGE COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 130 AM EDT

* AT 1028 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SLOW
  MOVING THUNDERSTORMS OVER ORANGE AND DURHAM COUNTIES IN THE
  VICINITIES OF CHAPEL HILL AND DURHAM. THESE STORMS CONTINUE
  TO TRAIN OVER THE SAME LOCATIONS CREATING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
  TOTALS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PERSIST MAINLY
  BETWEEN CARRBORO AND HILLSBOROUGH EAST THROUGH DURHAM THROUGH
  1200 AM. LITTLE MOVEMENT IS EXPECTED.

* RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN THE PAST 2 HOURS HAS
  CREATED RAPID RUNOFF INTO STREAMS AND CREEKS. CONTINUED
  DEVELOPMENT OF THE HEAVY RAIN IN THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL
  PRODUiCE FLASH FLOODING THROUGH 130 AM.

* RESIDENTS NEAR STREAMS AND CREEKS AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD
  SEEK HIGHER GROUND. MOTORISTS REMEMBER NEVER TO CROSS A FLOODED
  ROADWAY.
