870 WUUS54 KTSA 070416 RRA SVRTUL OKC023-070450- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1017 PM CST FRI MAR 6 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA OK HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1050 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA ...CHOCTAW COUNTY AT 1017 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUDNERSTORM MOVING INTO WESTERN CHOCTAW COUNTY ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BOSWELL. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. BOSWELL IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. HAIL TO THE SIZE OF DIMES AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE WARNED AREA. DURING THE STORM MOVE INDOORS AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM LIGHTNING DO NOT USE THE TELEPHONE OR HAND HELD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES...UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR WATER ON ROADWAYS AND NEVER DRIVE ONTO A FLOODED ROAD.
