THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
  WAKE COUNTY

* UNTIL 1000 AM EST

* SOME AREAS AND STREAMS AFFECTED:
  LOCATIONS NEAR CRABTREE CREEK

* BASIS FOR WARNING:
  CRABTREE CREEK AT WAKE FOREST ROAD HAD RISEN TO WELL ABOVE
  FLOOD STAGE. THE CREEK WAS RISING QUICKLY AT OTHER LOCATIONS
  THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.  OTHER SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS
  ACROSS THE COUNTY WILL CONTINUE SWOLLEN THROUGH THE MORNING...
  AND CONSIDERABLE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS IS EXPECTED TO
  PERSIST.


MOTORISTS ACROSS THE COUNTY SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION AND BE ALERT
FOR PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS. PEOPLE WITH INTERESTS ALONG CRABTREE
CREEK SHOULD MONITOR WATER LEVELS FREQUENTLY AND BE PREPARED TO
