THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  IRON COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI
  MADISON COUNTY MISSOURI IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI
  REYNOLDS COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MISSOURI

* UNTIL 200 PM CDT

* AT 830 AM...A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COVERED
  MUCH OF MISSOURI. THE STRONGEST STORMS...WITH THE HEAVIEST RAIN
  EXTENDED FROM NEAR FREDERICKTOWN TO NEAR ROLLA. THE STORMS WERE
  MOVING TO THE EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH...ALLOWING SEVERARL STORMS
  TO PASS OVER THE SAME AREA. TWO INCHES OF RAIN FELL BETWEEN 5 AND
  8AM NEAR IRONTON AND ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES IS POSSIBLE BY MIDDAY.

* MARBLE CREEK HAS FLOODED...CLOSING HIGHWAY E IN IRON COUNTY.
  CAMPERS AT JOHNSONS SHUT-IN STATE PARK SHOULD MAKE SURE THEY ARE
  IN A SAFE LOCATION. OTHER RECREATIONAL INTERESTS SHOULD LEAVE
  RIVER AREAS IMMEDIATELY AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

  A FLASH FLOOD MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
  RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD
  TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION WHErN FLOODING THREATENS. BE ESPECIALLY
  CAUTIOUS IF CAMPING NEAR A SMALL STREAM. RAIN UPSTREAM MAY CAUSE
  FLASH FLOODING AT YOUR LOCATION WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.
