000 TTAA00 KJAN 110336 RRA SVRJAN MSC031-065-110430- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 936 PM CST TUE FEB 10 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI ...COVINGTON COUNTY...JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY AT 935 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 12 MILES SOUTH OF PRENTISS. THIS STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH AND WILL MVOVE NEAR PRENTISS BY 945 PM AND MOUNT OLIVE BY 10 PM. DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL TO DIME SIZE ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM. DIME SIZED HAIL WAS REPORTED IN NORTHWEST MARION COUNTY 5 MILES SOUTH OF OAK VALE AT 930 PM. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT.
