SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

AT 515 AM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH WINDS OF 60 TO 70 MPH WAS LOCATED
10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LAUREL MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. THESE WINDS
WERE BLOWING INTO A LOW PRESSURE CENTER CROSSING THE SOUTHEAST PORTION
OF THE COUNTY.
 
AT 510 AM THE HATTIESBURG EOC REPORTED 60 TO 70 MPH NORTHWEST WINDS
IN THE NORTH PORTION OF TOWN.  MOTORISTS ALONG INTERSTATE 59 SHOULD
BE PREPARED FOR THESE HIGH WINDS AS THEY MOVE INTO THE LAUREL AREA.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE
HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  MOVE TO AN
INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.
