FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  630 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

AT 225 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN JACKSON INDICATED A LARGE
AREA OF RAIN WITH EMBEDDED CLUSTERS OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING
SLOWLY ACROSS SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI. THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF
PRODUCING 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN AN HOUR. THE STORMS SHOULD MOVE
INTO THE MUCH OF FORREST...LAMAR..AND MARION COUNTIES BY 300 AM. THE
TRI-COUNTY AREA HAS ALREADY RECEIVED 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE NIGHTFA
AND ANOTHER 2 TO 4 INCHES IS LIKELY.
 
RAPIDLY RISING CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL EXACERBATE FLOODING OF
STREETS...AND LOW LYING AREAS.  THIS IS A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS FLOODING
SITUATION FOR THE HATTIESBURG...PURVIS AND COLUMBIA AREAS. MOVE TO HIGHEGROUND IF WATER THREATENS YOUR AREA.
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING WHEN
