408 WUUS1 KSAT 080917 RRA SVRSAT TXC031-081015- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 411 AM CDT WED APR 8 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...BLANCO COUNTY A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE MOVING INTO WESTERN BLANCO COUNTY BY 420 PM. THE STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH AND HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING UP TO GOLF BALL-SIZE HAIL AND WINDS UP TO 60 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN ALSO OCCUR WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...FLOODING SMALL STREAMS...LOW AREAS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
