000 TTAA00 KSAT 061414 FFWSAT TXC299-061800- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 811 AM CST TUE JAN 6 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 NOON CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...LLANO COUNTY A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WERE MOVING SLOWLY NORTHWARD ACROSS LLANO COUNTY THIS MORNING. RAINFALL RATES OF 1.5 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR ARE ESTIMATED BY RADAR. WITH ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE SOUTH...THE HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. WITH A NEAR SATURATED GROUND...FLASH FLOODING WILL OCCUR QUICKLY. AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS. TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED ROADS.
