A...THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR

PARTS OF WESTERN TEXAS

EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING UNTIL 300 AM CDT.

TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND DAMAGING
THUNDERSTORM WINDS ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.


THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 90 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF BIG SPRING TEXAS TO 45
MILES NORTHEAST OF PLAINVIEW TEXAS.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. 
PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE
WARNINGS.

D...thunderstorms with a history of tornadoes and large hail
continue to develop along dry line and near cold front/dry line
intersection. 40 kt low level jet combined with 60 kt mid level
flow indicates continued threat of supercells as capes from 2000 to
3000 j/kg.
