IN EAST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...JOHNSTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...WAKE COUNTY AT 550 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE SHEARON HARRIS POWER PLANT IN SOUTHERN WAKE COUNTY. A SECOND SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR NC 210 NEAR THE WAKE COUNTY BORDER IN WESTERN JOHNSTON COUNTY. BOTH STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH AT 15 MPH. GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED WITH THE STORM IN SOUTHERN WAKE COUNTY. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND.
