000 TTAA00 KBNA 051329 RRA SVRBNA TNC149-189-051430- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN 728 AM CST WED MAR 5 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE ...RUTHERFORD COUNTY...WILSON COUNTY AT 7:25 AM DOPPLER RADAR AT NASHVILLE INDICATED A SHORT LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO WILSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES. THESE STORMS EXTENDED FROM SOUTH OF GOODLETTESVILLE/HENDERSONVILLE TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SMYRNA. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EASTWARD AT AROUND 35 MILES AN HOUR. LARGE HAIL AND WIND DAMAGE ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
