FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
 
   ...HICKMAN COUNTY...PERRY COUNTY...RUTHERFORD COUNTY
   ...WILLIAMSON COUNTY

AT 800 AM CST...VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE ACROSS PARTS
OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. THIS AREA OF PRECIPITATION WAS GRADUALLY SINKING
SOUTHWARD.
 
DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED SINCE 5 AM CST THAT BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES OF
RAIN HAD FALLEN IN THE ABOVE COUNTIES. BECAUSE THE GROUND IS ALREADY
SATURATED FROM RECENT RAINS...THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL PRODUCE
FLOODING ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS AND IN LOW LYING AREAS.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUdND.
