000 TTAA00 KMEM 051751 RRA SVRMEM MSC081-051825- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN 1151 AM CST WED MAR 5 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1225 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI ...LEE COUNTY AT 1147 AM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 8 MILES WEST OF TUPELO MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. THIS STORM WILL PASS NEAR TUPELO BETWEEN 1155 AM AND 1205 PM. THESE STORM HAS HAD A HISTORY OF DAMAGING WINDS. .A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASION(ALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
