000 TTAA00 KMEM 270539 RRA SVRMEM MSC017-270625- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN 1139 PM CST WED FEB 26 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1225 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI ...CHICKASAW COUNTY AT 1135 PM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH DAMAGING WIND WAS MOVING INTO WESTERN CHICKASAW COUNTY HEADED FOR THE WOODLAND .. PYLAND .. AND HOUSTON AREAS. THE STORM WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH AND SHOULD REACH HOUSTON BY MIDNIGHT. .A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
