000 TTAA00 KSTL 220550 FFWSTL MOC219-220945- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO 1248 AM CDT SUN JUN 22 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI ...WARREN COUNTY AT 1245 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A NARROW LINE OF HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR COLUMBIA TO JUST SOUTH OF WARRENTON. THESE STORMS HAVE BEEN INCREASING IN INTENSITY SINCE 11 PM. CURRENT MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS HAS BEEN TO THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THIS TREK WILL ALLOW TRAINING...WHERE ONE STORM FOLLOWS ANOTHER LIKE TRAIN CARS...OVER THE SAME AREA. VERY HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE HE REST OF THE NIGHT. KEEP ABREAST OF LOCAL SITUATIONS...REMEMBER MOST FATALITIES DUE TO FLOODING OCCUR AT NIGHT! BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGELRS OF FLOODING.
