000 TTAA00 KFTW 130019 FFWFTW TXC035-139-217-251-309-130415- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 618 PM CST WED FEB 12 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...BOSQUE COUNTY...ELLIS COUNTY...HILL COUNTY...JOHNSON COUNTY ...MCLENNAN COUNTY WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES HAVE FALLEN ACROSS THESE AREAS SINCE EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH SOME LOCATIONS RECEIVING IN EXCESS OF 4 INCHES OF RAIN. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE BEFORE ENDING LATE TONIGHT. NUMEROUS ROADS ARE CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO AVOID FLOODED AREAS...DON'T BE A FLASH FLOOD STATISTIC! BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
