000 TTAA00 KSAT 020448 RRA SVRSAT TXC163-020545- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 1049 PM CST SAT MAR 1 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...FRIO COUNTY AT 1045 PM...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST EAST OF DILLEY. MOVEMENT WAS NORTH AT 35 MPH. RADAR INDICATED THIS STORM MAY BE PRODUCING HAIL AS LARGE AS GOLF BALLS AND DAMAGING WINDS. ALTHOUGH NO TORNADOES HAVE BEEN DETECTED WITH THIS STORM...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.
