THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...VAL VERDE COUNTY
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN EXTENDED FURTHER. AT 350 AM CST...
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS FROM LOMA ALTA SOUTH ACROSS
DEL RIO SOUTH FOR ABOUT 50 MILES INTO MEXICO.  RAINFALL RATES OF
THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH PER HOUR ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THESE
THUNDERSTORMS.  THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING NORTH AT 35 MPH WHILE
THE GENERAL RAIN AREA IS MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.  RADAR ESTIMATES OF
1 TO 2 INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED FOR THE DEL RIO AREA SINCE MIDNIGHT.
WITH SATURATED GROUND EVEN MODERATE RAINS CAN CAUSE FLOODING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
