THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...VAL VERDE COUNTY
 
AT 905 PM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR OVER WESTERN VAL VERDE COUNTY.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTH AT 30 MPH AND EXTENDED SOUTHWARD
INTO MEXICO FOR OVER 80 MILES. THE AREA OF THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WAS
MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT  WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
