000 TTAA00 KRDU 061212 FFWRDU NCC063-061715- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 812 AM EDT FRI SEP 6 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...DURHAM COUNTY AT 805 AM THE ENO RIVER IN DURHAM HAS RISEN AND WAS OUT OF ITS BANKS. THE FLOOD STAGE IS 20 FT. THE LATEST STAGE WAS AT 20.6 FEET AND RISING. PERSONS ALONG THE ENO RIVER SHOULD TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID FLOOD DAMAGE AND TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. SHOULD FLOODING BE OBSERVED SEEK HIGHER GROUND AWAY FROM THE RIVER. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. STAY ALERT IF YOU ARE IN FLOOD-PRONE AREAS NEAR STREAMS AND CREEKS. WATCH FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATER.
