000 TTAA00 KRDU 060510 COR FFWRDU NCC183-061115- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 106 AM EDT FRI SEP 6 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...WAKE COUNTY AT 100 AM... CRABTREE CREEK CONTINUES TO RISE AT A RAPID RATE. AT WAKE FOREST ROAD THE FLOOD STAGE IS 13 FT AND THE 100 AM STAGE WAS AT 12.83 AND RISING RAPIDLY. OTHER LOCATIONS ALONG THE CREEK WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING AS 3 TO 6 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL OCCUR DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS. ALL PERSONS ALONG THE CREEK SHOULD TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM FLOODING. FLOOD WATERS ARE HARDER TO SEE AT NIGHT AND MOST FLASH FLOOD FATALITIES OCCUR AT NIGHT.
