000 TTAA00 KPHL 191508 FFWPHL PAC017-192110- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ 1108 AM EDT SAT OCT 19 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 510 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN PENNSYLVANIA ...BUCKS COUNTY HEAVY RAINS IN EXCESS OF 4 INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN THE HEADWATERS OF THE NESHAMINY CREEK. THE AUTOMATIC GAGE AT LANGHORNE HAS RISEN RAPIDLY TO 7.8 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 9 FT. RISES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON AS RAINS CONTINUE OVER THE HEADWATERS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA. VERY HEAVY RAINS CAN CAUSE FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS IN A HURRY. BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS.
