THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN WEST TENNESSEE

   ...FAYETTE COUNTY
 
AT 1210 AM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED OVER TWO AND ONE HALF
INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN FAYETTE COUNTY
SINCE 11 PM. FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND STREETS IS LIKELY IN
THIS AREA...ESPECIALLY ALONG HIGHWAY 64 NEAR OAKLAND. HEAVY RAINFALL
ALSO CONTINUES IN THE MOSCOW AREA WHERE OVER ONE AND ONE
HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE 11 PM. ADDITIONAL HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL CONTINUES OVER PORTIONS OF FAYETTE COUNTY THROUGH 3 AM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
