THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON

TEXAS PANHANDLE AND LOW ROLLING PLAINS.

A VERY MOIST AIRMASS IS IN PLACE ACROSS WEST TEXAS. AFTER THE
LOW CLOUDS WHICH HAVE BEEN IN PLACE ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING

TO WEST TEXAS...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
ACROSS EASTERN NEW MEXICO AND THE WESTERN SOUTH PLAINS THEN SPREAD
EAST ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.

SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA TODAY ARE
EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. IN
ADDITION...THE WIND STRUCTURE OF THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BE FAVORABLE
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TORNADOES WITH A FEW OF THE THUNDERSTORMS.
