FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  430 PM EDT
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY
 
   ...BOURBON COUNTY...NICHOLAS COUNTY...SCOTT COUNTY
 
AT 2:35 PM EDT...SHOWERS WITH SOME THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN MOVING OVER
THESE COUNTIES THIS MORNING AND INTO THIS AFTERNOON. REPORTS OF 1 TO 2
INCHES OF RAINFALL...WITH ISOLATED REPORTS OF OVER 3 INCHES HAVE FALLEN
OVER THESE AREAS SINCE THIS MORNING...AND WITH MORE RAINFALL EXPECTED
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. NWS DOPPLER RADAR IS ESTIMATING NEAR 1 INCH OF
RAINFALL WILL POSSIBILY FALL THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. DISASTER OFFICALS
IN THE TOWN OF CARLISLE IN NICHOLAS HAVE REPORTED SOME ROADS UNDER WATER 
YOU SHOULD MONITOR THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE READY TO TAKE ACTION
QUICKLY WHEN FLASH FLOODING OCCURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
