000 TTAA00 KLBF 090230 SVRLBF NEC111-113-117-090330- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 929 PM CDT WED MAY 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA ...NORTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA ...SOUTHERN LOGAN COUNTY...SOUTHEASTERN MCPHERSON COUNTY AT 929 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF TRYON...OR 20 MILES NORTH OF NORTH PLATTE. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE STORM WILL EXIT SOUTHEAST MCPHERSON COUNTY BY 945 PM CDT (845 MDT)...THEN ENTERING SOUTHWESTERN LOGAN COUNTY AND NORTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE STORM SHOULD EXIT SOUTHERN LOGAN COUNTY BY 1005 PM CDT (905 PM MDT). HAIL TO NICKLE SIZE IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM AS IT MOVES SOUTHEAST. v A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
