THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...EASTERN VAL VERDE COUNTY
 
AT 330 AM RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHEASTERN VAL VERDE COUNTY. NEARLY TWO INCHES
OF RAINFALL HAS BEEN OBSERVED IN DEL RIO IN LESS THAN TWO HOURS.
THIS IS CAUSING FLOODING OVER LOW WATER CROSSING IN THAT AREA.
RAIN...HEAVY AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE FLOODING IN THAT AREA.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEtGINS RISING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
