THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  130 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...TRAVIS COUNTY
 
AT 1215 PM CDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDING FROM NORTHWESTERN TRAVIS COUNTY TO SAN MARCOS AND SEGUIN. MORE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO BEGINNING TO DEVELOP JUST TO THE
SOUTHEAST OF AUSTIN. MOVEMENT WAS TOWARDS THE NORTHWEST AT 15 MPH.
 
THE 3900 BLOCK OF WESTLAKE ROAD REMAINED CLOSED AT 1215 PM AND WATER WAS
ALSO REPORTED ON POTIONS OF SPICEWOOD SPRINGS ROAD.  ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON WILL CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS FOR LOW WATER
CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT T4O
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
