SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

AT 601 PM...A DEVELOPING SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS NEAR CUSTAR. IT WAS
MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. SOME TOWNS IN THE STORMS PATH ARE PORTAGE AND
BOWLING GREEN.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM

220 PM EDT WED JUL 24 1996

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM FOR NORTHWEST OHIO
AND PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL OHIO.

AT 230 PM...DOPPLER RADARS INDICATED THAT STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED OVER SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN. THESE STORMS WERE
MOVING EAST AROUND 40 MPH AND WILL AFFECT WESTERN LAKE ERIE BY 3 PM.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TO THE SOUTHWEST OVER
NORTHERN INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO AND MOVE EASTWARD.

DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL ARE THE MAIN THREAT THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING.

IF SEVERE WEATHER APPROACHES...GO INDOORS TO THE LOWEST LEVEL. LISTEN
TO WEATHER RADIO OR OTHER SOURCES OF WEATHER INFORMATION FOR POSSIBLE
