NEAR WILLISTON. A TOWN IN THE STORMS PATH IS LONG BEACH.

220 PM EDT WED JUL 24 1996

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM FOR NORTHWEST OHIO
AND PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL OHIO.

AT 230 PM...DOPPLER RADARS INDICATED THAT STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED OVER SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN. THESE STORMS WERE
MOVING EAST AROUND 40 MPH AND WILL AFFECT WESTERN LAKE ERIE BY 3 PM.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TO THE SOUTHWEST OVER
NORTHERN INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO AND MOVE EASTWARD.

DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL ARE THE MAIN THREAT THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING.
