FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY
RAINS OVER MEDINA COUNTY. OVER THE PAST HOUR DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES
ABOUT 1 INCH OF RAIN HAD FALLEN OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL MEDINA
COUNTY. SOME FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN THE CITY OF HINCKLEY.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS MOSTLY OVER LAKE ERIE FROM JUST EAST OF SANDUSKY TO
EUCLID. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND WILL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...HAIL..WINDS GUSTING TO 45 MPH
AND DOWNPOURS HEAVY ENOUGH TO CAUSE FLOODING.  THE MORE INTENSE STORMS
SHOULD MOVE ACROSS THE CITY OF LORAIN TO CLEVELAND.

REMEMBER...IF THREATENING WEATHER IS SIGHTED...TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.
