IN WEST MASSACHUSETTS ...WESTERN HAMPDEN COUNTY AT 205 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING NICKLE SIZE HAIL IN THE TOWN OF WEST SPRINGFIELD. THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH AND SHOULD EFFECT THE TOWNS OF SPRINGFIELD AND CHICOPEE BY 230 PM.
