000 TTAA00 KAPN 190935 SVRAPN MIC011-191020- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI 534 AM EDT SUN MAY 19 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 620 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION AND COASTAL WATERS... IN NORTH CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN ...ARENAC COUNTY AT 530 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST WEST OF ALGER IN WESTERN ARENAC COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL PASS THROUGH MAPLE RIDGE AND TWINING BY 600 AM EDT. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL. STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY THIS STORM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME. SWR/MK
