ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF SCHENECTADY COUNTY. LOCALLY...RADAR
ESTIMATES CLOSE TO 3 INCHES RAIN HAS ACCUMULATED ACROSS SOUTHERN
PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY NEAR DUANESBURG.
 
DOPPLER WEATHER RADARS FROM BERNE AND BROOKHAVEN NEW YORK...
FORT DIX NEW JERSEY AND TAUNTON MASSACHUSETTS CONTINUE TO
SHOW ADDITIONAL BANDS OF TROPICAL RAINS PUSHING QUICKLY
TO THE NORTHWEST FROM THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD.  THIS WILL BRING
ADDITIONAL SURGES OF HEAVY RAIN AS FAR NORTH AND WEST AS
SCHENECTADY COUNTY.
 
EXPECT 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN...WITH LOCALLY 5 INCHES FROM "BERTHA"
BY THE TIME THE STORM HEADS OUT TO SEA LATER THIS EVENING.  HOURLY
RAINFALL RATES MAY REACH 1 TO 1.5 INCHES.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
