COUNTY.  THE EAST ASPETUC RIVER IN LITCHFIELD IS AT BANKFUL AND ABOUT TO
OVERFLOW.
 
ADDITIONAL VERY HEAVY...TROPICAL RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO SWEEP ACROSS
THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AS TROPICAL STORM BERTHA MOVES
NORTHEAST...REACHING THE NEW ENGLAND COASTLINE THIS EVENING.  SYSTEMS
SUCH AS BERTHA HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF DEPOSITING EXTREMELY HEAVY
RAINFALL IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.  PEOPLE CAMPING OR LIVING IN LOW
LYING AREAS OR NEAR STREAMS SHOULD TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY!
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHVT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
