AT 135 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A CLUSTER
OF THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM SOUTHERN UNION COUNTY NORTHEAST INTO
PORTIONS OF QUEENS AND BROOKLYN. THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL
TO PRODUCE IN EXCESS OF 1 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN IN ONE HOUR...PRODUCING
STREET AND HIGHWAY FLOODING.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DOT
